Why are Apple Music Digital Purchases limited compared to CDs?

I don't have a lot of room in the drive were Apple Music is located and I cant export the 'content' file to another drive , the action only adds a link were Apple player then opens up.

Why is it that when I by the CD I can do whatever I want with the media

and not with Apple store content that I bought and paid for?

perhaps this Q belongs somewhere else

For tracks that are downloaded to your computer in Apple Music you can right-click on the track and use Show in Explorer. Once you have located the file you can copy it as you wish to some other location or open it in some other application. (Protected media, such as content from the Apple Music subscription service, cannot be used in the same way.)

Apple Music is not as flexible as iTunes when it comes to managing where the library and media is stored. It is possible to change the Apple Music media folder location for new content, but apparently no method to copy in what is already stored elsewhere. iTunes is better in this regard, and has a scripting interface which can be used to automate tasks such as moving content to a new location if you want fine control over the process.
