Taking Pictures with flash on

I have the new iPhone 16 pro max, and every time I try to take a picture with the flash on my camera closes and the picture was never taken. Which is incredibly frustrating. I finally got it to successfully take a picture but I had to turn off macro, and Live Photo. I feel like this shouldn’t be an issue to take a simple photo

Live Photo is definitely an issue. How is that tiny flash and relatively tiny battery supposed to take 15 to 20 images per second and not overheat and destroy the flash tube or deplete the battery so it’s dead in 15 minutes? Your expectations for a handheld device are unrealistic. Sorry.

If you want to shoot under those conditions, go outside in good light. If you need help getting the photo you want please post examples of what you’re currently experiencing.

My statements are accurate, none the less. Not every subject, under every lighting condition, can be photographed in a way that meets your expectations.

Does your iPhone camera work normally otherwise? Is the issue just when trying to use macro and Live Photos at the same time? I may not be understanding the whole issue.,

Apple purposefully displays Live Photos to protect both your flash and your battery.
