Is Canon PIXMA TS7650i compatible with macOS Sonoma?

I have ordered a new printer ( new in box) but it says it compatible with 13 but I have 14.7 Sonoma. Will have issues? Do I need to return it ?

Yes, it is compatible, as it uses AirPrint technology. Please see the note below from the Canon Europe site.

This product is compatible with the operating system selected using AirPrint only - a driver is not required.

The move from Canon drivers to AirPrint has been made to improve the user experience as any future updates will be applied automatically through your operating system.

AirPrint pretty much insures that your printer will continue to work with macOS for years and years.

I had an AirPrint printer from 2011 through 2023, that just worked, even after the manufacture stopped supporting the printer. I just added paper and toner. The Macs that accessed the printer changes several times along with the operating system versions and Mac OS X, OS X, macOS name changes 😁

When it died (old age, and/or a thunderstorm caused a surge), I replaced it with yet another AirPrint printer which was simple to setup, and works from all the Macs in the house, plus the iPhones and iPad (it is a network attached printer).

NOTE: My replacement printer was chosen from a vendor that does not do toner cartridge lock-in.
