Strange, quiet AirPods Pro chime

Hello, people

Recently I have noticed my AirPods Pro 2nd gens have been making a very quiet, high pitch tone (see bottom for attachment), which I believe is coming from the AirPods themselves. It only happens occasionally, after the AirPods have been put back in their case and have been stationary for a while. My best guess is that it’s some sort of calibration. It’s probably not meant for people to notice, as it’s extremely quiet. I have a recording attached below, which I had to amplify dozens of times, add noise reduction to and have my phone basically touching the case to get.

If someone could provide a reason for this sound, I would be super grateful
