best routers in 2024

does Apple recommend a best router to install on a current OS ?

Apple does not make these types of recommendations. The best router is the one that you can afford; that provides a Wi-Fi signal compatible with your current devices, configurable logging, and the best security (at least WPA3) or stronger for your privacy protection.

I use a Synology RT6600ax router which is not inexpensive but meets my above criteria and has an excellent browser-based SRM user interface.

As all you will get here are fellow user opinions, they will be varied.
