Hearing Health doesn't show in Airpod Pro settings
I have a MacBook Air M2 running Sequoia Version 15.1.1 and AirBud Pro 2 version 7B21 and the Hearing Health option to use my AirBuds as hearing aids is not an option in settings.
iPhone 8, iOS 16

Okay, scratch that.
According to the instructions, you need an iPhone or iPad to access the hearing test. Do you have one that's updated to iOS 18.1?

I just got AirPods Pro 2 for Christmas and encountered the same problem. I spoke with Apple support. You need to use an iPhone or iPad running iOS 18 associated with your Apple ID to perform the hearing test. After that, a Hearing Health entry should appear in your Mac's System Settings.
(Aside: I've yet to confirm this myself. I currently have no other Apple devices than the Mac and the AirPods. Presumably, if I get ahold of a suitable iPhone/iPad, log them out of their Apple account, then into mine, I should be able to run the hearing test and have it associated with my Apple ID. That, or break down and buy an iPhone. I would adapt, but it would be a shock initially...)

That's the same article I linked to. And it specifically says you need to do the hearing test with an iPad or iPhone.
I suspect the issue may be that you did the set up with your wife's phone. Unless she's using the same Apple ID as you are (which would be bad in a whole bunch of other ways), it may not work as expected. However, I have no way of testing that out as all of my devices use my Apple ID.
Is your Mac logged into the same Apple ID as the phone you set up the AirPods with?
Have you tried to restart your laptop to see if the issues persist?
What country/region are you in?
The issue is that, as stated in Apple's documentation, the settings for hearing health should be available on the MacBook. Every other setting is available, but not Hearing Health, so the documentation is wrong.
Thank you for your reply. It looks like I have to update my iPhone to a newer model since I'm still using an iPhone 8.
I am just waiting for the holiday rush to be over with and then I will take the plunge.
Thanks again
Yes, I restarted and updated the OS, but it still doesn't have that setting.

I did get the Airpods hearing health setting using my wife's iPhone but I have an older iPhone not capable of running IOS 18, which is why I wanted to use them with my MacBook.
In that article, it shows Hearing Health as an option
At this point, I will give up trying to use my MacBook and purchase a new iPhone 16 to get the hearing aid capability I was looking for.
