Can I use Messages on Microsoft Windows?

Are we any closer to being able to use iMessage on Microsoft laptops? I've seen progress on Microsoft's end with the phone connection link, which is complicated and frustrating. Will there be a new update soon?

I don't think there's any official support for iMessage on any platform other than MacOS/iOS.

There have been a few unsanctioned (and largely unsuccessful) attempts to bridge the gap, but officially, iMessage is an Apple-only technology at this time.
