Facetime Audio Issue on MacBook (Microphone Works Fine Elsewhere)

Hi everyone,

I’m running into a weird issue with Facetime on my MacBook. When I call someone, they can’t hear me at all—whether I’m using the MacBook’s built-in microphone or my AirPods. However, my microphone works perfectly fine in other apps (e.g., Zoom, Discord). If I Facetime from my iPhone, everything works as expected.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Double-checked the audio input settings in System Preferences.
  • Restarted my MacBook.
  • Confirmed that the mic works fine outside of Facetime.

Still no luck! Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas for a fix?
