What is the "Baidu (China) Co., Ltd" extension on my mac Mini Pro M4?

I just noticed the "Baidu (China) Co., Ltd" extension on my Mac Mini Pro M4. Can anyone explain why this extension is on Sequoia? Is it related to Apple Intelligence?

Any insights are appreciated. Thanks!

Mac mini, macOS 15.1

Hi Alexbenzz, First, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. To answer your question, I found it in System Settings> General > Login Items & Extensions. I've attached a screenshot of it.

Evidently, Apple has partnered with Baidu to develop Apple Intelligence or, at least, to make it accessible to customers in China. Here's a link to a recent 9-to-5Mac article about it:

So, for now, I've opted to disable the extension until further clarification is provided on what it is for and how to remove it.

If you find out any additional information about the Baidu extension, please share it.
