After the 15.1.1 (24B91) update my macbook pro intel started overheating which has caused my battery to need servicing the battery which only has only 561 cycles. The fans turn on from the moment the machine turns on but there are no apps running and CPU load is less than 20%. Am i the only one with with issues?

In Disk Utility>View, select Show all Devices, highlight the top left entry.
Run Disk First Aid on all items in the left panel, from top down.
Are you running any VPN, Anti-Virus, or Cleaning apps?
We need to see what all is running, a report from this will not display any personal info...

Uninstall Avira per their directions , then run etrecheck again to see what chaff it left...
Do what you can to delete or move enough files so you have at least 50 GB free space.

I have the same issue when being plugged in on my M2 MacBook Pro. Before it was cold to the touch when sleeping on power. I will try reverting back to 15.1.
Managed to delete and get 75gb os space.
On M1 Macbook air and battery drops like crazy, i see more use on efficiency cores. Battery health dropped from 94 too 92 within 3 days. Am i crazy or what. I use it for browsing mostly. Something i definitely wrong.
I have the same problem. I updated my MacBook Pro M1 two days ago to 15.1.1 (24B91), and now it's overheating like crazy. I have never had this issue before and now the fans are going crazy the minute I turn it on... Also my battery health is dropped by the hour... Any solution?
External drives are relatively cheap comparedto losing all your data...
Right now I can't delete some of the file to get 50gb of space as I'm using most of the files. Did all the other steps but still on start up the fans are going crazy.
Can you please share how it's done? I have the same problem and I would like to revert back 15.1 too!

Which exact files & where are they located
They are in the documents folder as i don't have an external hdd to move them to i can't delete the work.
Tried that but nothing changed
