Good point, USB-C Mouse

it works as expected for me on sequoia. (should be same for sonoma) from looking at your screenshot, you "searched" mouse and chose "Magic Mouse gestures". what do you get if you directly use system settings > mouse? are you then able to see the other options?

System Setting >> Mouse >> Nature Scrolling >> ON

More Gestures

There should be 2 Panels

Point & Click and More Gestures

Restart the computer in Safe Mode

Test again
