Weather alerts on Watch even with Sleep and Do Not Disturb modes on

I keep getting precipitation alerts on my Apple Watch in the middle of the night, even though Sleep mode is on. I also added an automatic do not disturb schedule for the hours I'm asleep and I still get buzzed with "light rain ending soon" alerts. I would like to get these alerts during the day but not at 2:30am - is there any solution other than turning them off completely?
