apple just sent me air pod 2 pro's: may not be the H2 chip???

Question

apple just sent me air pod 2 pro's: may not be the H2 chip???

all the boxing and paperwork has 2023 copyright all over it. And the H2 chip was to be in the 2024 version. Seems strange! Model A3047. Version 7B21. Serial # G*********** & G**************. Can anyone verify that these are H2 pods and NOT OLD H1's that are being unloaded. I need then for Hearing Aids....not just music and phone calls and TV etc, THANKS. Concerned "NEW" user. Have a GREAT DAY!!

It is the H2 chip. The H2 chip is present in all of the AirPods Pro second generation, since 2022.

The H1 chip is in the AirPods Pro first generation, those are not sold anymore by Apple

For the two versions of AirPods Pro 2 that have been released, the processors are as follows:

AirPods Pro 2, released September 2022:

Processor = Apple H2 (AirPods Pro) Apple U1 (Case)

AirPods Pro 2, released September 2023:

Processor = Apple H2 (AirPods Pro) Apple U1 (Case)

Apple says this info is NOT CORRECT. They may manufacture these H2 chipped air pods only now but SELL both versions still.!!!! So be careful to see what arrives. There is very little difference in "The marking of the boxes" and "NOTHING to specifically STATE WHICH CHIP IS BEING" used....

Their website "OFTEN" does not work properly".

IE. THUS. It will not allow one to buy directly. at many times. One may have to re-new the site many times to get it to function properly. They are working on this problem.

(This seems a little INCREDULOUS for the World's LEADING HIGH TECH GIANT)

So if you phone in an orde to Apple: the person taking the order..(although trying to be HELPFUL..reading off some sheet of answers......and the person packing and shipping the order... ARE DIFFERENT... And Mistakes often occur. HUM!!!
