Text & iMessage unresponsive after IOS 18.1.1 update

After I updated my phone to the newest IOS 18.1.1 update my text app will open but immediately freezes where I can’t click on any texts. Had my wife text me and the text won’t even go through. I tried to contact Apple support and login to my Apple ID and it just freezes where I have to force restart my phone. Didn’t have any issues before the update…. Any help?

This is happening to me too. Text app is frozen. Music app is almost unusable too.
