Change the way Messages interacts with text clippings

hi all.

coming from mojave, I test drove big sur operating system at my work place.

we use text clippings to create automated message responses, we use them a LOT.

in preparation for mojave's obsoleteness I test drove big sur and learned that the way that messages app interacts with text clippings makes the whole work process obsolete.

does anyone know if there is a way for me to hack into the OS to force it to respond as I'd like, or if there is a considerably well and seamless workaround? (maybe something like typing a particular phrase auto fills a pre written response) or perhaps something that utilizes automator app to do the same thing.
