Warranty Concerns for Unopened Apple Pencil

I purchased an Apple Pencil Pro during the Black Friday sales but won’t be using it until I buy an iPad Air in January. Since the Pencil will remain unopened for about a month and a bit, I’m concerned it might stop working during that time.If something does go wrong and the Pencil doesn’t work when I finally use it, would Apple’s warranty still cover it? It should still be within the one-year warranty period, but I want to confirm if being unopened affects coverage.
