WindowServer in activity monitor over 50%

I have a new m4 (pro) laptop.

14-Core CPU

20-Core GPU

24GB Unified Memory

1TB SSD Storage¹

When connected to a Samsung 5k monitor, the windowserver is frequently over 50%, often over 60%. Does this matter? Mean anything? When not connected to the monitor it is often under 10% CPU usage. I know Samsung's software is total garbage and likely causing the issue.

It sounds like the high CPU usage is likely due to the Samsung software or driver issues when connected to the 5K monitor. You could try using the monitor without the Samsung software or check for any macOS updates to see if that helps reduce the CPU load.

Thanks for the reply. I'd love to turn off the horrible Samsung software. I hadn't thought of that.
