Nothing garbled there...you simply do not have the correct font.

old issue, new issue, what changed...(?)

Try restoring default fonts and compare your results—

ref: Restore fonts that came with your Mac using Font Book

ref: If non-Latin fonts don't appear correctly on Mac

ref: Change the language your Mac uses

Open the Font Book app and do settings > advanced > reset fonts and restart your machine
