Magic Keyboard A3203 Function keys not being honoured the same as MacPro M3 Max keyboard

I have just connected a new Magic Keyboard to my MacPro M3 Max - Sonoma 14.6.1.

The Function Keys are not working the same as the Macbook keyboard.

• I have toggled the function key settings to honour whats printed on the key.
• I have 'forget device' too many times and reconnected etc.
• I have been through the keyboard settings but i cant get it to run the same as my Mac keyboard.

Any ideas please? I did have an old Magic Keyboard that worked just fine for these keys but the new one isnt playing nicely.
