iPad Pro 11 notify me when left behind

When I go to the find my app to turn on notify me when left behind I couldn’t set it because it was grayed out?

You can only set up a separation alert from the device sharing your location. If that's your iPhone, then you need to turn on Notify When Left Behind for your iPad from the Find My app on the iPhone. See:

Yes they are it works on my iPhone but not on iPad also I have done a reset on my iPad 3 times
