Passwords missing after software update on iPad

I downloaded the latest software update and now I cannot find my passwords. Where are they/

Presumably you have just updated to iPadOS 18.x.


Passwords saved in your keychain are no longer accessed from device settings. For iOS/iPadOS18, saved Passwords and account credentials are now accessed using the new Apple Passwords App; when you updated to iOS/iPadOS18, this new App will have been automatically installed on your device.

Try deleting the Passwords App from your iPad (don't worry, your saved Passwords are still safely stored in iCloud).

Remove or delete apps from iPad - Apple Support


Having removed the Passwords App, restart your iPad:

Force restart iPad - Apple Support


After the iPad restarts, re-install the Passwords App from the App Store:
