merging duplicate photos in sequoia

I have 294 photos that need to become 147 by merging duplicates. Is there a way to merge all duplicates? Or do I need to go pair by pair?

Like with most things on a Mac, you can click on the first and shift-click on the last to select all. You can command click to add or remove an item from a selection set. You can also use ⌘-A to select all, if that's what you want.

Note that in the upper right there is a button that shows that I have selected 6 items (which will become 3 if I click it.) The deleted pictures can be found in "Recently Deleted" for 30 days.

But be very careful!

Photos detects duplicates as both exact and as similar. Here is a pair

of "duplicates" that I definitely don't want to merge! The most common problem we receive here is from people who have wantonly deleted pictures and later regretted it. Maybe you do want to delete them a pair at a time!
