Unable to pair iPhone X with Apple Watch 4 Series
I have iPhone X and try to pair Apple Watch 4 series but receive ‘this watch requires newer version of iOS’

iPhone X, iOS 16
If Apple Watch is on iOS 10, it requires an iPhone with 17.x.x. iPhone X maxed out at iOS 16. It’s my understanding that the two devices are incompatible. Apple Watches cannot be downgraded and iPhone X cannot use the newer iOS the Watch requires.
Can you confirm what Watch OS it’s using and what iOS your iPhone X is using?
