HDCP 2.2 capture card not recognisable by my iPhone post iOS 18.1.1 update

Has any streamers encounters the following issue with their capture cards?

I have iPhone 14 Pro Max and since updating from ios 17 to ios 18.1.1 my HDCP 2.2 capture card no longer auto detects and plug and plays. How the connection works is I use my Apple lightning HDMI adapter cable. I insert my HDMI in to the cable along with my charge cable and insert it into my phone and on my OBS it instantly creates a MIRROR.

it doesn’t work any more on IOS 18. It no longer mirrors and I can confirm my capture card and cables work as it’s all brand new thinking something broke and it comes down to the new IOS version now.

Apple is there a fix?

Contact the manufacturer of the capture card for support.

I'm sorry, I no longer have an older phone that would use the lightning cable, everything I have now has USB-C. Those connectors all seem to work for me. Your best bet is to contact Apple for assistance to help rule out the adapter. Good luck.

Oh ok thank you Chris.

the actual issue is the apple lightning hdmi adaptor. It will no longer be detected and doesn’t show in the general setting and about. I have tried to trouble shoot turning on accessories via face id and passcode. But won’t be detected still. I’ve tried to hard reset with the cable inserted and without and plugged back in and still won’t detect.

I read that perhaps a firmware is needed but cannot get the prompt to show. I’ve spent over 7 hours nearly reading everyone’s similar issues and cannot figure out where or what direction to go to next.

thats the issue at hand. Maybe I’m missing something? My cable worked when I was on ios 16 and 17 but now I’m on 18. The dv adapter is no longer plug and play.
