Apple Card Recycling

I understand I can send the card back to Apple for recycling. But since it's titanium. In theory, could one take it to a jeweler for the value of the metal?

Have you thought this through? The current value of titanium is about 35¢ a pound. You’ll need about 4 cards to make a pound. You’ll use several gallons of gas of drive to a jeweler that buys titanium, and he’ll give you maybe 10¢ for your pound of titanium.

I think I’d recycle it. But that’s just me. You do you.
