Does the M4 Mac mini support 1440p @ 360Hz?
I have recently purchased the (currently new) base-model M4 Mac mini (running MacOS Sequoia) in combination with the Samsung Odyssey OLED g60sd. The latter is capable of displaying a resolution that of 2560x1440 at a 360Hz refresh rate. I have attempted finding answers to my questions online to no avail.
As of now, I am aware of the fact that the monitor is able to support the necessary bandwidth via DisplayPort 1.4 in addition to DSC (as is a given).
Regarding the M4 Mac mini, Apple's documentation lacks explicit details on whether or not the M4 chip supports DSC. Furthermore, I did not find any information on what the maximum refresh rate is, which the Mac is able to output/ supports.
The HDMI cable that is included with the monitor only supports 1440p @ 120Hz. This is why I would also appreciate any recommendations on which cable to acquire that is able to handle 1440p @ 360Hz.
Any information concerning the aforementioned inquiries is welcome!
P.S. I know this is not the best choice of monitor for the Mac, considering that I plan on gaming on it and my Xbox Series S. The reason I bought this monitor is due to an unbelievably good deal that presented itself to me.
