iPhone microphone not connecting to Garageband for Mac
Starting from the Thursday earlier this week, my iPhone hasn't been able to pair with my Macbook's Garageband application. I've made sure not to have anything open on my iPhone that would busy my microphone, same with my Macbook, and yet once I open Garageband it says "Audio Disconnected: "hotdog" [my phone name] Microphone not available." The solutions I have attempted include:
- Going to Audio/MIDI, and making sure my input is my phone's microphone.
- Resetting MIDI drivers in case that is causing some kind of issue.
- Restarting my iPhone
- Restarting my Macbook
- Restarting Garageband
- Using a USB-C cable to pair my iPhone to my Macbook
I've tested to make sure my mic can connect to other sites on my phone like "TunerNinja", which is a site for tuning. The audio from my mic worked perfectly and it connected wonderfully. My Macbook mic also works, but the quality is not the same as my iPhone 15.
Any fixes would be greatly appreciated! :)
