How do I find the earliest date in a collection that can't be sorted by date.
The table below needs to remain sorted by Symbol (VRT below) so I can collect data on each portfolio that a stock is in using
for each intersection (such as PWR in AI).
But that means I can't sort the table by Portfolio/Entry Date to find the earliest Entry Date in a portfolio.

Pivot it with the portfolio as the row and the data field as the minimum of the date.
Use:
=MIN(E2:E3)
where E2:E3 is the range of cells to check.

Thanks. But I need the minimum date in a specific portfolio.
What I need is a function that will return a range of all the dates associated with a certain portfolio so I can run min() on it.
I thought about that but this table has nearly 600 entries. Is there no filter-by function that returns a range?
