Why can't I turn off Live Listen on my iPhone?

Since installing iOS 18.1.1 on my iPhone 11 Pro, I am having trouble turning OFF the 'Live Listen' function. I turn it on by tapping the 'Live Listen' button as before, but now tapping the button again does not turn Live Listen off. Frustrating! I am using it with Oticon Intent 3 Minirite hearing aids, and have only been able to turn off Live Listen by either restarting the phone or taking out the hearing aids and docking them in their charger. In the past, tapping to turn Live Listen on, then tapping again later to turn it off, has worked perfectly.

This is the iPhone screen showing the Live Listen button:

Thanks

Although recent iPhone models can maintain the same max capacity % over many montns, older models such as your 11 Pro typically decline by 1% about every 2 months.

So yours should be showing a max capacity of around 70%, not 93%. (Apple suggests replacing the battery at around 80% — which is when various issues tend to arise.)

Most iPhones reach that 80% level after 2 or 3 years — depending on the number of charging cycles it's been through. So at 5 years, yours is well overdue for a battery replacement.

...The above suggests that the 93% max capacity is inaccurate and likely to be actually well below that. Apple can test the battery's actual health using its own methods, so...

Thanks for replying.

Yes it still has there original battery, settings says it was charged to 100% within the last 24 hours. But in any case, the software update was while the phone was plugged into its charger, so I would expect battery weakness or otherwise is not likely to the problem.

However I have not tried to re-install the OS, I suppose if no one else has the same problem with iOS 18 I could try a re-install.
