Spoken directions in Apple maps

I can no longer turn off spoken directions, and it is so frustrating. I hate the constant interruptions. Please fix this!

Perhaps this will help:

Change settings for spoken directions in Maps on iPhone - Apple Support

If not, and a simple restart of your iPhone doesn't either, contact Apple Support for assistance. We're all just fellow users here cannot "fix" anything.
