RCS switching back and forth to SMS after 18.1.1 update

I’m using the iPhone 13 Pro Max, currently running 18.1.1. My phone auto updated the other night and now I can only receive RCS messages from Android/Google contacts, but any messages I send will automatically switch to SMS. I’ve checked my settings and with my carrier and both support RCS and are turned on. This wasn’t an issue until the update - and this happens regardless of how good my signal is or where I am. I believe it’s just a bug, but is there any way to fix it?

I tried restarting and shutting down, but it didn’t work. Yesterday it began working for a few hours before it failed again. I’ve confirmed that all settings are correct, and it’s just annoying to be able to receive RCS but my own messages send as SMS.
