Unable to install Facebook lite on my iPhone 12 mini running iOS 14

If you have an iPhone 12 mini, you can update it to iOS 18. You might also be able to stop at iOS 17. Apple offered that option when iOS 18 first came out – but they may have removed it by now.

Somewhere on these forums, I read that if you have skipped several iOS updates (as you seem to have), you may need to use a computer (a Mac or a Windows PC) to update your iPhone manually.

If you have indeed an iPhone 12 mini, you can update it to the latest iOS version and you can download Facebook

Every iPhone that runs iOS 14 can run iOS 15, so update to iOS 15

If you have an iPhone 6/6plus and are stuck on iOS 12.5.7, you cannot update further and your iPhone is too old to run Facebook
