Can I use AirPods and a soundbar simultaneously?

Hello. I’ve asked this before however this is an update: Why can I not make use of my ordinary hearing aids or my new AirPods 2 Pro AND make my husband hear from the soundbar at the same time? As soon I connect either of the “plugs” in my ear the soundbar’s audio die. Really Apple? I tried a Bluetooth transmitter. I tried every instance of ideas here or elsewhere. I want to stream the sound into my hearing ear without loosing the audio signal to the soundbar. Is it even possible? Cheers /Bo

Because the Apple TV can only output audio to a single device type at a time. The AirPods, hearing aids and soundbar are all the same device type. Audio Output.

There is no way for it to split audio between your hearing aids or AirPods and the sound bar at the same time.

Youn can use the AirPods as hearing aids to amplify the ambient sound and that from the soundbar however.
