Apple pay fails at store terminals after iOS 18.1.1 update on iphone 13

I received prompts to update to iOS 18.1.1 yesterday on ipnone 13 , now none of the payment options that I have stored in my wallet are working. I tried powering both off and restarting, removing then adding back each card. Tried both the add new card and use previous card options, nothing is working on gas station or grocery store. I can directly use the the same registered payment methods thru apple pay online but just not on the shop terminal. When i take phone near the terminal nothing registers. My bank card is fine and its registered on other phones and that works fine. Its only the ios 18.1.1 update that caused it.

Additionally i had some game tix stored on my wallet and they could not scan it as well last week at the entrance (definitely happened after iOs update, nothing else)

Help really need it. Do not want to change phone if possible
