On numerous apps, including Safari, Messenger and WhatsApp the predictive text is in Portuguese, yet the keyboard and lanuages are set to English UK. The reset did not fix this. May relate to iOS 18.1.1

Have you made sure there is nothing about Portugal in settings > general > keyboard > keyboards or settings > general > dictionary or settings > general > language & region?
Try removing Portuguese. All the characters you need for words in that language can be made with the English keyboard via Press and Hold.
I am located in Portugal. Settings says I have 6 keyboards! English (UK), 3 Cantonese, Portuguese (Portugal) and Emoji. There are times it is useful to use Portuguese words.
