Dark cloud on my iPhone X screen after water damage

I dropped my iPhone in water but removed it in just a second but unfortunately some water penetrated through the speakers I used the water eject application to remove the water from the speakers which came but there’s a dark cloud spreading on my screen from the bottom corner.

What should I do 🙏😭

Hello,

In addition to Servant of Cats's message, do this:

If you have a case on the phone, remove it and let it dry out in the air for a few days. Do not try to charge it in the meantime. Then it may be OK.

Also see this:

If you see a liquid-detection alert on your iPhone

About splash, water, and dust resistance of iPhone 7 and later    water damage;  how to dry it out

Water and other liquid damage to iPhone or iPod isn't covered by warranty

Good luck.

Prepare yourself for the possibility that the water has damaged your phone so badly that you will need to buy a replacement phone.

I'm not sure what you can do to try to save the phone, but there's one thing I've read that you should not do.

Do not place the phone in rice to try to dry it out. Tiny bits of rice will get stuck in the ports and expand – thus clogging the ports and trapping moisture inside the phone.
