Apple Watch update stuck on “Verifying”

The original problem was that my watch was running out of battery super quickly, when I took it to the Apple Store they just said they can’t send it in for maintenance unless it’s up to date, when I tried to update it it just got stuck on the verifying step for a very long time. Since then I’ve tried countless more times and even after restarting both my phone and watch, and even completely resetting and re-pairing the watch to my phone, I still have the same issue.
