Disable Password on Wakeup for macOS 15.1.1

I've tried everything and can't get it to stop asking for a password after screen saver starts. Any help out there? This has only happened after Sequoia update 15.1.1

Go to Apple > System Settings > Lock Screen and set "Require password after screensaver begins or display is off" to Never.

If you can not set to Never, then the iPhone Mirroring App maybe preventing you from changing the setting.

To fix that, open the iPhone Mirroring App on your Mac and change the setting to "Ask every time"

Then you should be able to set "Require password after screensaver begins or display is off" to Never.

Ive tried this, and other variations of this but, it still does not work for me. Super annoying. Any other thoughts?

The setting is in the iPhone Mirroring Settings on your Mac.

Change iPhone Mirroring settings

Open the iPhone Mirroring app on your Mac, then choose iPhone Mirroring > Settings from the menu bar at the top of your screen. Choose from these options:

  • Ask every time: iPhone Mirroring always asks you to authenticate before mirroring. Authenticate using your Mac login password, using Touch ID on your Mac, or using your Apple Watch
  • Automatically authenticate: After entering your Mac login password to select this setting, you are no longer asked to authenticate before mirroring. While this setting is selected, the “Require password after screen saver begins or display is turned off” setting in Lock Screen settings remains set to Immediately.
  • Revoke Access to [name of your iPhone]: Reset the iPhone Mirroring setup for this iPhone and remove “Allow notifications from iPhone” from Notifications settings on your Mac. To mirror your iPhone and receive its notifications again, set up iPhone mirroring

Well, I'm sitting here felling a bit humble. I was doing all of those thing BUT, I was applying those settings on my phone and NOT my MAC. Thank you ALL very much for the help. Once I applied those settings on my MAC it works like a charm. My only hope is my pain might help someone else. Thanks again to everyone

Merry Christmas
