Apple Watch Series 8 dings repeatedly while charging since update to OS 11.1

Apple Watch Series 8 (GPS+Cellular) 41mm Case - Stainless Steel. I installed the new OS 11.1 yesterday. Now, when I place the watch on the charging ring, every few minutes it dings and the green charging bolt appears, followed by the green charging circles. It also is happening to my wife's phone who also updated her OS. We have both used a QKXC 3-in-1 charger Model X3 Pro for over a year without trouble until after the 11.1 install. It does not happen when I used another ring charger. I have tried a forced restart. I turned off Nightstand Mode. I assumed the OS update did something. Any ideas on why or how I get the dinging to stop?

Have you tried to charge it with an original charger to see if the issues persist? it iseems like that the charger you're using is not providing enough power to keep the watch charged, so it disconnects from the charger, it connects again, and so forth. That is the dinging sound you hear, the start of charging chime. So use another charger, there is something off with your charger

I have exact same issue and have exact same charger, but my watch is the SE. When I put on the Apple Charger, it doesn't do that.

I don't have sound or ringer on, so I don't get the ding. I do see the watch light up though, so I know it is happening. It still charges. Right now, it is an annoyance, but at least it is charging.

Yes and it stops with another dedicated (single) ring charger. My question is why did it start with the OS 11.1 and is this a bug or a new charging feature that makes my current charger obsolete. Thanks
