Does putting a screen protector on an ipad pro m4 2024 void the Applecare or Apple warranty?

Adding a laminated glass or plastic film screen protector will not affect your Apple warranty or AppleCare+ plan. the screen protector is an additional sacrificial layer that serves two purposes.

1) The screen protector provides protection from scratches and abrasion damage. The screen protector itself, if damaged, is easily and cheaply replaced.

2) In the event of severe damage that leads to cracking or breakage of the screen cover glass, the screen protector will prevent glass shards or splinters causing injury.

Note, however, that if the screen protector were itself to cause damage to the iPad's screen - unlikely but I've seen anecdotal reports of cheap protectors causing damage when removed - that would not be covered under warranty.
