Apple Wallet not working on iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max

I can’t get Apple Wallet to work. I sent 3 hours last weekend on the phone with Apple Wallet customer support, we deleted my Apple account, deleted everything on my phone ( 13 pro plus with IOS 18.1) they came to conclusion it was the “hardware”. So I purchase a new 16 pro max and I’m having the same problem. It’s not my bank cards because we was able to add them to my husband wallet ( NFCU & Truist)


HELP going to Disney in a few days and need this to work

Apple Wallet and Apple Account are separate. Try adding one or two payment methods to your Apple Account. Please read the Apple Support article I linked below so you have an understanding of what Apple Account is and what the payment methods will be used for.

I’m sorry for the experience you had with Apple Support. They may have tried hard, but it’s not hardware is NFC on the iPhone is working.

There’s links to Apple support articles on nearly all of this. You don’t need to answer the questions, but the fact it’s a brand new iPhone points me immediately to the questions I asked at the end of the post.

The original phone “13pro max” was 2 years old. Apple tried everything on that phone and we were getting the same results. So they told me I could either take it to an Apple Store ( 2hours away and I would have to pay for them check it and repair if needed. So I decided to get a new phone instead 16 pro plus/ max. So i transfered everything over

to the new phone( I went to the 2 different banks I’m trying to add to my wallet) with the same login and password ( changed nothing on them) thinking that might be the problem, but still can’t get them added.


my husband who purchased a new 16 ( from an 8) a month ago (don’t have any banking apps on his phone) and he was able to add one to his wallet no problem.


So im not sure why mine is having a problem

Verizon


Did you setup as new device or transfer old device info? Transferred from old device


Did you create new Apple Account/Apple ID? No


Approximately how old is Apple Account? 6/7 years


Do you have App Store account setup? Is it active and have you purchased anything lately? yes, no


Do you have iTunes account setup? Is it active and have you purchased anything lately? Yes about 3-4 months ago

Do you subscribe to any Apple Services? Are they installed and active on the device? Yes, Apple TV and yes


Do you have any payment methods associated with your Apple Account? Yes both cards I’m trying to add


Are Location Services enabled on the device and do you carry it with you daily? Yes & yes


Do you send and receive emails and texts on the device? Yes & yes
