Macbook Pro not unlocking with Apple Watch

I have a macbook pro m1 and it won't unlock with my apple watch series 6 ever since I did the last upgrade to mac os 15.1.1

ios 18.1.1

watch os 11.1

I have tried shutting down macbook and restarting, restarting apple watch, restarting iphone, turning on/off use apple watch to unlock your Mac, and toggling bluetooth. Nothing works yet. Any ideas?

I haven't had this happen recently, but it's happened to me in the past. What worked for me (and is not in your list) was signing out then back into my AppleID/Account, then turning the unlock with watch option back on.
