Numbers App Search Function Not Working on iPhone

Suddenly, the search function in the Numbers app stopped working for me. I use the app to record clients names and their purchases by date. Now, I can't type their names into the search function to locate them and have to manually search, which is very time-consuming

I'm also using the Numbers app however it's on a Mac mini running Sequoia 15.2, and the search function no longer works (I've been working around this failure all year). It's very frustrating as I am trying now to create a new budget for 2025 and cannot update changes unless I do them manually.

Operator error!! The problem was that I needed to format the search entry more precisely.

For example: a search for $2,345.99 cannot be entered as 2345.99; every character and format is used as a qualifier in the search. Dollar signs and commas etc that appear in the spreadsheet cells also must be included in the query field.

Now that I use precise entry formats, the search is working perfectly.
