Airpods won't go off noise control, default is transparency mode.

My phone automatically updated to IOS 18.1 so I took the hearing test for my airpods pro ( so I can nod or shake my head when siri asks me a question). It was the 5 min (per airpod) test where I tapped the screen anytime I heard a sound. I don't remember if during the test my airpods were put on transparency mood, but after the test I tried to turn the mode off, but the option "off" was completely gone in my control center. I tried to do it on my MacBook, and while the option "off" for noise control was there, anytime I try to click on it, I hear 2 quick dings ( almost like "nu uh" lol), forcing my airpods to always be on some noise control option. Any help on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Are you iOS 18.1.1 or on macOS 15.1.1?

As I hear this happen a lot after this update. There are a lot of posts about this in the community and for me it is the reason that I dont perform those updates yet, I need to be able to switch off transparency/ANC
