Keyboard light issue on my MacBook Pro login screen

Turn Off FileVault:

Is FileVault turned of? If so, turn off file vault, and then reboot in Safe Mode. The login screen must be bypassed for this to be changeable. Keep a Cover Off of your Camera:

The light sensor makes all of this occur.

1. Go here: Turn your Mac Keyboard’s Backlighting On or Off – Apple Support
2. At it Reads: "Tip: The light sensor is located at the top of your computer near the camera; make sure that area isn’t covered when you use your Mac in low light conditions."
