Keyboard light issue on my MacBook Pro login screen
The keyboard light doesn't turn on when you're on the login screen after booting up.

Turn Off FileVault:
Is FileVault turned of? If so, turn off file vault, and then reboot in Safe Mode. The login screen must be bypassed for this to be changeable. Booting into Safe Mode, login items are set aside, and certain caches are reset(such as those for keys). Source: How can I configure my keyboard to be backlit at the login screen? - Ask Different

Keep a Cover Off of your Camera:
The light sensor makes all of this occur.
It’s never been covered.
And can’t adjust the keyboard lighting on the login screen. Neither does it have a setting after you’ve logged in, on the lighting when logging in.
