Why are my app transactions failing on the App Store?
The purchase goes through as usual, but then get error msg stating transaction failed

Could be any one of various reasons. As Apple users, like yourself, we have no access to your accounts.
Seems Apple accepts the purchase, but the payment method's provider fails the transaction.
Eg:
✽ Is your payment method one that Apple can accept in your country or region ?:
Payment methods that you can use with your Apple Account - Apple Support
✽ You may need to check with the provider of your payment method why transactions are not going through.
✽ If using a card, your card's expiry date may no longer be valid.
✽ Your provider may not be allowing international transactions
✽ If you have disputed a charge from Apple:
you may need to ask the provider of your payment method to allow transactions from Apple again.

It's not my payment method, I used it in before & afterbthis happened and it worked fine.
