How to switch off 'Updates Available' notification.

Hi. I'm using Sequoia 15.1 and I'm looking for a way to switch off the notification that keeps appearing in the top right of my screen that tells me updates are available. I don't want to keep clicking it away and I don't wish to install updates the moment it appears. I want an option to stop it invading my desktop permanently.

I've turned off all four options in the automatic updates area and have found no solution in the Notifications tab of system settings.

After turning off the Automatic Update toggles (4), have you Shutdown then Powered On your Mac? If you did, do you still see the banner in the upper right corner? If you do, you might have to apply the updates then the next time there are updates, the banner might not appear.

I'm only guessing a Shutdown might apply the toggle changes. But if there are security updates, it's possible Apple wants the user to apply those regardless of the toggle settings.

Why ?

Is there some extraordinary piece of Third Party Software that will get broken or suspected to get broken if the Sequoia 15.1.1. is downloaded and installed

Letting the computer to fall behind in updates can lead to unexpected consequences

If one were to take the time to read what Security Issues were fixed in version 15.1.1

One may reconsider their position on this matter
