CarPlay connectivity issue with 2017 Honda Accord

My new IPhone is unable connect with the system in my 2017 Hands Accord

My new IPhone is unable connect with the system in my 2017 Hands Accord


Wondering what happens when you try ... eg: error message

Seems both car and phone are compatible for CarPlay, so there must be a way.


(NB: seems only one phone can be connected at a time, so if old phone is connected, new phone can not.)

If you haven't already used Apple Support's articles (links below) they can likely help guide the connection.


Sometimes updating iPhone to newest available iOS version may help: (Settings > General > Software Updates)

NB: Always wise to back up your data before updating iOS version)


Your Car Manual (or dealer) may explain whether to used wired or wireless connection for setting up CarPlay:
