Finder doesn't show Image Dimensions or R… - Apple Community

I see this problem with .jpg files often when I use the finder's Column View.

The image preview appears, but under Information only Created and Modified appear.

After some experimenting I find that if I have a .jpg that's doing that, if I open and close the image in Preview, the information appears fully. I'll now see Information, Created, Modified, Last opened, Content created, Dimensions, Resolution, Color Space, Color profile.

This also works for .mp4 and .mov files, open them in Quicktime to see all the Information.
