Apple Watch Ultra 2 complication switching orientation on it's own.

Hi everyone,

Here is my scenario. Apple Watch Ultra 2. Watch OS 11.1.

Connected to an iPhone 16 Pro with iOS 18.1.1. I am using the "Modular Ultra" face. I have the bezel complication set to "elevation". The top left complication is SpO2 (although it's inactive for now). The top middle is a phone contact. The top right is the current date. The middle complication is current weather conditions. The lower left complication is my activity rings. The lower middle is a compass and the lower right complication is ECG.

On its own, the bezel complication is switching in orientation so that the altitude is at the bottom and the detent position (zero feet elevation) is at the top. It's doing this at random and the only way I get it back to normal is by restarting the watch. Is this a software glitch or is it hardware?

Does the altimeter work if you press on the watch face, which will let you edit the watch face, but instead of taping on Edit, press the Digital Crown to return to your watch face.

Did the altimeter change as well?

Did you try to force restart your watch and iPhone after the latest updates?

To force restart your watch, hold down the Digital Crown and the Side button at the same time for at least 10sec, until the Apple Logo comes back again on the screen.

The next step would be unpairing the watch and connecting it again to your iPhone:
